Despite traveling to the most exotic and faraway places, without doubt the best holidays I ever had were much closer home and much shorter then what I consider a proper trip. As till today nothing beats the three week summer holidays with my parents and brothers to the dutch seaside, the seemingly endless times of careless frolicking around in the always too cold surf of the North Sea while lost in my own little pirate world, perfectly alone or standing firm with my brother 'mates'.
Read More » Post a comment (0)Solo travel may be the (my) ultimate adventure, but traveling with family is not only having a couple of eyes extra, but alsot the extra memories, likely popping up during breakfast on some winter morning, just inbetween that sec you think life is a drag and "Oh Yeah! I totally forgot about that!"
Read More » Post a comment (2)Excusing myself I all too often say I was born in the wrong country, when I actually mean I am sick of the colder climates and socks and shoes suck big time. Yeah, a lifetime with flip flops would’ve ruined my perfect baby toes but definitely would’ve sculpted a lasting smile on my face (and by now corresponding wrinkles).
